Vergnet recently showcased its latest wind solutions at the European Wind Energy Association 2015 Annual Event over a four day conference which took place from 17th – 20th November in Paris.

The EWEA 2015 Annual Event presents an international platform for the wind energy industry to meet and, with Europe’s industry leaders and policymakers attending; the event provides an opportunity to define the strategic direction for wind energy activities in Europe.

Taking place two weeks before the COP21 UN climate negotiations, which kicked off this week in Paris, the highly anticipated event marked the first in a series of renewable energy conferences and meetings with a single aim to reduce climate change.

Vergnet’s Eric Vales (Product Engineer), presented a poster on the topic ‘Hybrid Renewable Energy Production System and Connection to Existing Network’. The poster showcased Vergnet’s work in successfully delivering hybrid solutions within island countries to optimise renewable energy penetration in off-grid and small grids applications.

As a global leader in wind energy solutions, with over 900 wind turbines installed worldwide, Vergnet is attending EWEA 2015 to share its expertise with attendees from across the globe and showcase its extensive portfolio of wind energy projects and developments including the Nouadhibou Wind Farm in Mauritania and the biggest wind farm in sub-Saharan Africa to date, located in Ashegoda near Mekelle in the Tigray region.
