West African Clean Energy and Environment Conference and Exhibition (WACEE) will take place in Accra, Ghana, from 13th – 15th September 2016 and aims to shine light on renewable energy in West Africa.
The event, which is celebrating its 5th year, is the leading exhibition and conference on renewable energy and environment in Ghana and West Africa. Areas of focus for 2016 include: energy saving, renewable energy, energy efficiency, power generation, transformation and storage and measurement, regulating and control equipment.
Leading sector experts gather to discuss key issues and innovative solutions to meet the energy and environment challenges facing West African countries, and the heavy industries operating within the region (mining, agriculture, processing, etc).
Vergnet’s thought leadership and advocacy for better adapted and bespoke energy solutions has been consistent over the years in the West African region as well as within the other regions across the world. Vergnet participated last November at the West African Power industry Convention in Nigeria, delivering two thought provoking presentations during the main conference and the pre-conference master class respectively. Also this year, Vergnet attended the Solar Off Grid renewable event in Ghana joining over 100 companies from around the world.

Many of Vergnet’s projects around the world benefit from a combination of different energy technologies and we have extensive experience in working with customers in West Africa to define the specific needs of the project and the best integrated solutions available to deliver secure, reliable energy and cut energy costs.
Vergnet’s established track-record and experience in providing renewable energy solutions in West Africa includes Nouadhibou wind farm in Mauritania. A total of sixteen Vergnet GEV MP-C 275kW wind turbines were installed along with Vergnet’s patented Hybrid Wizard™. This allowed optimisation of wind power production with existing diesel power production to maximise fuel savings.
