VERGNET will be participating at a renewable energy workshop from the 4th – 6th April organized by BUSINESS FRANCE in partnership with the Embassy of France in Tanzania. The workshop will be part of a series of events to commemorate the French week in Tanzania, which will feature several business and cultural activities.
VERGNET will be participating to promote renewable energy technologies and their application across Tanzania, and indeed across Africa. VERGNET’s thought-leadership and advocacy for bespoke energy solutions has been consistent over the years in the region, often pioneering projects in many countries. VERGNET’s established track-record and experience in providing renewable energy solutions includes VERGNET’s Ashegoda wind farm in Ethiopia. This is the largest operational wind farm in Sub-Saharan Africa, producing 120MW of power and supplying electricity to more than 3 million of the population.
VERGNET will make a presentation at the event to share experiences from working in East Africa, and how adapted renewable energy and hybrid solutions could help address some of the power challenges facing industries in Tanzania as well as off-grid communities. VERGNET’s presentation will also touch on hybrid power solutions and the possibilities for the integration of renewable energy into existing thermal grids. VERGNET will be drawing from the experiences gathered from implementing similar projects for over 25 years across over 40 countries.
If you are attending the event in Dar es Salaam and would like to further discuss our work in East Africa and our renewable solutions please do not hesitate to get in touch with us to arrange a meeting.
You can send your requests to John Okoro, Business Development Manager, who will be representing VERGNET at this event. You can reach him via email: j.okoro@vergnet.fr.
